Social Media Strategy, Content Creation & Account Management
Overview
Low Tide Co is a San Diego coastal jewelry brand. I supported the brand’s social media by creating content, establishing visual direction, and improving posting consistency.
The Challenge
When I joined, the brand lacked visual direction or posting schedule, leading to low follower growth and inconsistent engagement. The brand needed a cohesive strategy that would elevate its social presence and drive audience engagement.
My Role - Intern Lead
Took a lead role among interns, coordinating tasks and guiding content creation
Developed and implemented a visual strategy for Instagram
Designed posts, graphics, and reels using Canva and Adobe Lightroom
Managed and created a posting schedule and ensured consistency (3–4 posts per week) using Notion
Tracked engagement metrics and adjusted content strategy
Collaborated with brand owner to align visuals with brand identity
Strategy
Visual direction: Developed a comprehensive brand kit in Canva, including color palettes, typography, and a cohesive aesthetic to guide all content creation
Content mix: reels, product photography, lifestyle shots
Posting cadence: established 3–4 posts per week
Audience engagement: Monitored metrics, gathered data to be shown at team monthly meeting

How Low Tide Began” Highlight Graphic
Created a branded graphic to summarize the brand’s story.
Purpose: Pin to profile to give new followers a clear introduction and reinforce brand narrative.
Tools: Canva + brand kit elements
“Meet Elora” Product Graphic
Designed a promotional graphic for introducing an item to the audience, shot the product photo, and applied brand fonts/colors.
Purpose: Highlight individual products while keeping the feed cohesive.
Tools: Photography + Canva design.
“Our Values” Carousel
Designed an Instagram carousel highlighting Low Tide Co’s core values (“Designed with intention: handmade” “Made with intention: eco-friendly”).
Purpose: Communicate brand identity clearly to the audience while maintaining visual consistency.

Results
Grew Instagram following from ~186 to 555
Increased posting consistency to 3–4 posts per week
Improved visual cohesion across the feed
